Embarcadero Technologies Inc. (USA) is looking for experienced Software Developer (Java/JEE) to work at the company's development center in St.-Petersburg, Russia.

Responsibilities:

In this position, candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining different features of ER/Studio® Portal (and others or future products) to meet business requirements.

ER/Studio® Portal is a web-based query and reporting tool to access and search the ER/Studio Repository for improved understanding of metadata, object whereabouts, and data usage. Other responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) verifying and testing provided functionality for accuracy and errors, debugging, optimization of code, preparing unit tests and providing bug fixing, reviewing documentation, preparing specifications, samples, demos and providing technical consulting to colleagues.

Required knowledge and skills:

• 2+ years working experience within commercial Java software development.
• In-depth knowledge of Java language concepts, threading and memory management.
• J2EE knowledge and working experience
• Familiarity with html, jsp/javascript, web application (incl. Apache-based) development and SQL query development. 
• Reasonable technical English skills are a must (reading documentation, writing reports, speaking)
• Knowledge/experience with open source code from Pentaho and the Lucene search engine is a plus

• Good understanding of OOP/OOD concepts, good algorithmic and implementation skills.
• Strong technical background, ability and willingness to learn new technologies. Strong analytical thinking.
• Good knowledge of all aspect of software development cycle, iterative development processes.
• Good team player. Good communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience within commercial software development and a Bachelors/Master Degree in computer science, mathematics, or software engineering.
