Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Oracle/SQL (Good knowledge in SQL scripting and SQL tools - toad, SQL plus)
• Linux/Unix knowledge
• Shell, Perl
• Basic knowledge of XML
• Experience with test automation for web and batch functionalities
• Spoken English (interview with customer required)

Desired Skills:

• Good understanding of software testing,  at least 2 years experience or more
• Good technical background
• Internet technology (general knowledge in HTML, CSS, XML etc..)
• Work experience in the Software architecture (such as three layer architecture, Model-View-Controller Paradigm), BEA Web Logic, Oracle, Java programming
• SOA (Web Services)
• Mercury Tools (QualityCenter, Quicktest Professional)

Candidate duties in the position:

• Manual testing of non-gui application (Batch process on Linux basis )
• Manual testing of Web oriented applications
• Requirements Analysis
• Maintenance and creation of automation test scripts
• Creation and review of test case catalogue,
• Review of system design and specification documents
• Test case execution, documentation of test results according to the agreed test schedule.
• Description of defects and problems using Bug tracking systems
• Communication with the team.
• Analyze problems from test point of view and decide for corresponding severity of problems/defects
